Can I change my username to a new email

Q: My JapanTV account username is an old email address, I want to change it to a new email.

A: Sorry, JapanTV account username can not be changed.

JapanTV account username needs to be in email format, but no need to be an active, working email as it's not used for communication (not used for sending/receiving email)
